If PQ was a blogger...

"This is my blog...(PQ here)...This is my blog today.

I first started taking pictures when my Mom said YES. Then I started taking a picture of my Mom. "

"This is my Mom putting on make-up."

"This is my dogs back."

"My dog is tired."

"This is our new pantry wall."

"This is my Mom's robe."

"My Dad is working on the pantry."

"This is my room.
It is beautiful."

"This is my dogs tail."

"My Mom is smiling really good."

"That's it. Our star is dirty."

"This looks beautiful like a rock star."

"My dog looks handsome."

"This is our bathroom floor."

"This is the prettiest picture of all."

"His eyeball is facing me but he is looking at my Mom."

"This is my Dad's hat."

"That is my Dad's golfing hitters."

Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving.
Love,
PQ

Happy Thanksgiving and Beyond!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday yesterday. We had a great day of traditions, Overall, it was an awesome day! I'm thankful for many things in life...many people...many circumstances...and several traditions.
This one is a new one...possible a new tradition...
Making our own Turkey Leg Hats! HAHAHA!
(PQ LOVES Turkey Legs-Hence the humor behind one.)
Gobble! Gobble!

Once we got to Grammy & Grampa's house,
PQ grabbed a chair and obsessed over the parade.

PQ, D-Dawg, and Beaner
*Can someone please tell me where the time has gone!!?*
(Kids are a gentle reminder that time is FLYING by!)

Another tradition...crackers, cheese, and pepperoni.
It's Titi's 'thing'.
*WINK*

This might be a new tradition...
Uncle shocked Auntie with a hug.

Beaner had to get in on the Turkey Leg action...

Enough Said!

Prepping for Black Friday Sales

After going to Grammy & Grampa's house, we headed to Nana's for more dessert.
GIRL POWER!
(Aunt Mamie, Miss K, and Miss H)

Aunt B's tradition is EATING CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE!!!

A very intense game of THE NAME GAME.
(Another tradition.)

After leaving Nana's house, we headed back home and went to bed.
The last conversation that I had with my mother determined that she wasn't going out for Black Friday afterall. In her words, she didn't really NEED anything. So Papa H and I set the alarm for 3:30 so we could get up and head straight to the stores.
At 2:17am, our phone rang. It was my mother...she couldn't sleep and she wanted to make sure that we were still picking her up. HAHAHA! Talk about confusing!! Rather than going back to bed, we opted to get up and start our day of shopping.
TIME CHECK...the actual time we got OUT of bed after the wake up call.

We got to Kohl's at 3:30.
Grammy got in line because I didn't want to FREEZE in the cold.
Cars quickly started piling in, so Papa H and I got in line too.
*We were about 12 people behind Grammy*

After our 4am shopping stop, we headed to our 5am destination in P-Town.
I think Papa H was tired...what do you think!!!???

After the 5am destination, we headed to Cabela's for 6am.
After that, we headed to Biddo for some additional shopping.
When we got back in the car and started heading back to our hometown,
I looked in the back and saw THIS.
Grammy looks a little sleepy too!
HAHAHAHA!

And just think, we were heading back home at....

When we got back to Grammy's house, PQ and Grampa were baking cookies!

So what should we do???
GO SHOPPING IN-TOWN, OF COURSE!!!
Grammy ran into some friends of hers and they weren't 100% sure about sizing...
so of course Grammy hopped right in the outfit to size it up for them.
UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY!

After I took a nap (thank you, Papa H), we put up the Christmas Tree!!!
And for some reason, Mooch has ALWAYS liked getting UNDER the tree!!??

He's best known for his UNDER-THE-TREE-NAPS!
(Oh look, another tradition!)

Like I said before, we have so much to be thankful for. I'm sad that we didn't get to see all of our family...but trust me, they were in our thoughts!
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Say Hello To Our Two New Friends!

It's official. Our dryer's life ended over the past weekend so that left us with a decision. Do we just replace the dead dryer? Or do we replace the set all together? We decided to replace the set so that the combo would maximize the efficiency factors.

Say Hello To Our Two New Friends!

ECOSMART WASHER by Fisher Paykel
North America's most Energy Efficient Top Load Agitator Washer uses only 24% of the energy of a traditional washer. Complete the laundry in up to half the time of a frontloader, 1000rpm spin saves up to 30% time and energy in the dryer. This super capacity washer with unique brushless DC motor and smart electronics increases reliability with no belts, brakes, pulleys, clutches or gearboxes - parts that aren't there can't fail.

SMARTLOAD DRYER by Fisher Paykel
SmartLoad - The world's first large capacity top loading dryer. The convenience of top access, automatic lint removal using a superfine filter and removable lint bucket, combined with reverse tumbling, high airflow and autosensing, makes SmartLoad the ultimate clothes dryer.

Let's take a tour, shall we?
This is the inside of the washer. (Ooooh....Aaaaah!)

This is the inside of the dryer. (Oooooh....Aaaaaah!)
*I love the top loading feature...so much easier on my back!*

Fun buttons to play with...hahaha...

(Whooops....I mean, Oooooh....Aaaaah!)

I LOVE THE SMELL OF TIDE DETERGENT!!!
*No more homemade detergent...boo hoo.*

Our new friends seem nice so far. They're quiet (unlike our prior friends). They're speedy too (unlike our other friends who took two loads to dry the clothes). All in all, we're happy about the new relationship.
Speaking of relationships...here are the survey results from the survey that Country Mouse posted. The survey questions are to be answered in regards to my spouse. If you have some free time, I would love to hear your story as well.
1. Where did you meet? We met through our roommates....my roommate was dating his roommate and they swore up and down that we HAD to meet each other because we were so much alike. (We are married...while our roommates never lasted in the dating world for more than 3 months.)
2. How long did you date? We met in February...dated until December when he proposed prior to Christmas and we were married the following August.
3. How long have you been married? 6 years. :)
4. What does he say that surprises you? He tells me that I'm beautiful all the time...and I often get surprised because he tends to tell me when I'm not feeling my best (which makes it THAT much more sincere. Aaaww...I love him)...IE: crazy hair in the morning, after a long cry, etc etc....
5. What is your favorite feature of his? His lips...they're defined...I can't explain it...I LOVE them!
6. What is your favorite quality of his? His gentle personality...funny and light hearted....he is a very kind man.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? Hun
8. What is his favorite color? Blue
9. What is his favorite food? Wow! This is a hard question. Papa H loves food (I do too-perfect match..hahaha)....but he falls weak to anything SWEET....Okay, Pecan Pie...final answer!
10. What is his favorite sport? Red Sox Baseball
11. When and where did you first kiss? This makes me giggle....we were at my friend Pollard's apartment on Park Ave in Portland...in the livingroom sitting at the table....hehehe...giggle. :)
12. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? SHOP!!!!!
13. Do you have any children? PQ-age 5....and an 8 week old embryo....hahaha.
14. Does he have a hidden talent? Of course!
15. How old is he? 35 but he's still trying to convince PQ that he's only 28.
16. Who said 'I Love You' first? He did...aaaw!
17. What is his favorite type of music? Believe it or not, he likes SOFT ROCK...but he has been LOVING his Christian Rock CD's that I bought him recently. It all depends on his mood, I guess.
18. What do you admire most about him? I love how he always thinks of me first.
19. Do you think he will read this? Nadda....I read it to him though. *WINK* :)

Busy, But Worth It!

What can I say? We've been REALLY busy at the Hayes House!!! The past several days have passed us by but we did manage to take a few pictures to help capture the highlights.

On Saturday, Papa H had to work during the morning hours. I knew Papa H had plans to rake the leaves when he got home from work, so I inquired with my parents about their leaf blower. I thought that Papa H could get through the leaves faster if he had their blower. Little did I know that my Dad would offer to come over and pick them up for me using his riding lawn mower/mulcher. (I have to mention that it was ONLY about 35 degrees on Saturday...and the wind was blowing really hard too. It was FREEZING outside!)

**********************************************

Grampa being Grampa...generous, as usual.

What on earth is Mooch barking at????!!!????

Is he barking at ME (all bundled up)?

Or was he barking because it was SO COLD outside!!!???

(I think it was a combination of both.)

On Sunday, PQ and I slept over at Grammy & Grampa's house
(so Papa H could paint the kitchen ceiling without my pregnant self around).

This is the outfit that PQ picked out to go to Grammy & Grampa's.
SO CUTE!

Papa H gave me some last minute hugs before we left.

This evening, Mooch made some new friends.
Pastor and 'Hurley-Burt' came over and Mooch fell in LOVE with both of them.
As you can see, he felt the need to snuggle.
HILARIOUS!

And when they left, he felt all alone.
POOR MOOCH-MAN!

Busy? Yes. Hectic? At times, yes. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY!
I'm really looking forward to spending the next few days with my family. No work. No stress. No time for anything but family!
