We headed to the local mall just south of the border. We had dinner together at my favorite pizza shop and then got down to business. Shopping, shopping, and more shopping. After shopping, we ended the evening with the H Family Tradition...ICE CREAM!
Are you serious!!!???
Before leaving the mall I had to see if my little friend was still around. Yup! He sure was! This was the little guy that I fell in love with about a month ago...which led to us buying Little Miss Weenie!
The H Family Tradition...ICE CREAM!
Princess E had sweet cream ice cream with berries.
I had coffee ice cream with oreos.
YUM!!!
While driving home from the evenings events, we had an opportunity to talk about various happenings. I can honestly say that I laughed at times and cried at times. Up until last night I hadn't realized how much I cared about Princess E. Of course I've always cared about her but it wasn't until last night that I really realized how special she is to me. She might not be my own daughter but I sure do hold a special place in my heart for her. I worry about her and last night I had an opportunity to talk candidly about those feelings. With college decisions coming upon her in the next year, I couldn't resist the opportunity to share my full testimony with her. My transitions from high school all the way up to meeting Papa H several years later. Every single decision that we make molds us into who we are.
As we pulled up to her house at the end of the evening, she asked me when we could do this again. It's funny how sometimes we just need a little bit of 'special time' with someone to make those lasting relationships. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with her. I can't wait until next time.
