PQ's Kindergarten Concert!

This evening, we had the honor of attending PQ's kindergarten concert. It was adorable. Although PQ had a little stage gaze going on (he sang 2 songs out of 18 all together-hahaha), he did manage to do all of the hand movements! He did a great job! Who knew that an outgoing kid could be so shy on stage!

Presenting PQ!!!!!!

A little blurry...but PQ's expression was priceless!

Last...but definitely not least....a movie from this evenings events. Enjoy!

GREAT JOB, PQ!
We are so proud of you!

Hello Baby Sunshine!

Say HELLO to Baby Sunshine!!! She arrived 6 days ago and both Mom and baby are doing great! Mama Sunshine looks AMAZING...just for the record!

Say HELLO to our newest little friend!
(ADORABLE, isn't she??!!??)

Strawberry Rhubarb is one of MY favorites too!

PQ and Izzy Sunshine read to the baby...

...and they changed a dirty diaper too!

Papa Sunshine took a group photo.

*Why are the adults the only ones smiling?*

Wake up, Baby Sunshine!!!
We want to see your eyes!!!

FINALLY!!!! She opened her eyes.
(This pic is my favorite...look how focused they are.)

Amazing! Absolutely amazing! Baby Sunshine is unbelievably perfect! I can't help but be in awe of the workmanship behind a child. It's another reminder that God is good. The little toes...the tiny wrists....the pint-sized hands....it's all a gift from God.
Congratulations again, Sunshine Family!!!

Happy 6th Birthday, PQ!

Happy Birthday to our little man!

I can hardly get my head around the fact that you're growing up so fast! It seems like only yesterday we were welcoming you into this world. Happy Birthday, PQ!!! We love you very much!

Papa H and I went to PQ's school today for a birthday lunch date. When we got there, PQ was playing outside with his class. Of course we loved having the opportunity to hang out with him on the playground before lunch!

Papa H just HAD to get in on the game!

During lunch, PQ got to invite a friend to sit with us.
(Ty-Ty was the lucky guy...)

PQ was THRILLED when he got to be the Tray Helper.
Apparently all the kids LOVE this job...Nasty if you ask me!

He was still psyched about it.

Six years have passed....really? Time flies, doesn't it?

From the bottom of my heart, I Love You, PQ!!!

Happy 6th Birthday, Buddy!

Haircut, Tea Stand, Sleepover, & A Birthday Celebration!

I know....I know! It's been a few days and some of you have been waiting VERY patiently for updated pictures. Thanks for being so faithful to my blog. *WINK* Here goes nothing...there are a bunch of pictures so please try and keep up.

On Thursday afternoon, this is the BEFORE picture...

...this is the AFTER picture!
WHAT A HANDSOME BOY!!!!

On Friday, Uncle had a yard sale so PQ went to work.
Ice Tea...only .25 cents a cup.
He made nine dollars!!

On Saturday, we went to a 50th anniversary party.
I saw a lot of relatives that I hadn't seen in a while.
PQ realized that he had A LOT of 2nd and 3rd cousins!!!
(My battery ran out so I didn't get many pictures!!)

On Saturday afternoon, SOMEONE came to help Papa H.
Can you guess who??

IT'S GRAMPA H!!!!
(Thanks again for installing our new kitchen sink!)

On Sunday afternoon, Beaner came over for a sleepover!

I couldn't resist this shot...ADORABLE, EH?

Don't mind the TIME STAMP...not sure what happened!?
Beaner woke up early to help me make cinnamon buns!

We took the crazy cousins out for breakfast this morning.
(Our water heater is broken so I didn't want to make more dirty dishes!)

This afternoon, we celebrated PQ's 6th birthday!
(Tomorrow is his actual birthday...)

Who knew that SMARTIES could make him so happy!!???

He opted for cinnamon buns instead of a cake...
but Grammy Jo Jo made one anyways.
(Thanks again...it was DELICIOUS!!!!)

The family...I'll let you guess where Titi was sitting.

Nope...she's not in this view either!
(She was in the SUN the whole entire time!!!)

Critter Goo...a plactic insect filled with Goo that you eat.
NASTY...but PQ loved making the girls squirm!

Did I mention the ongoing BATTLE?
Titi, Grammy Jo Jo, & D-Dawg battled all afternoon!
Why, you ask?
CINNAMON BUN WARS, OF COURSE!!!
(I think Titi won with 4 cinnamon buns this afternoon.)

Wow! Talk about a crazy few days! Thanks for checking in and staying up to date. I'm hoping that we don't run into another long stretch like that again! Although it was a hectic few days, I had a blast being at home with PQ. Tomorrow is a school day so we're all heading back to work/school tomorrow. Reality Check, Anyone???

I Will Post Pictures Soon!

Wow....lots of stuff going on lately with the H Family's house...busy schedules, ongoing construction, landscaping, and a broken water heater....I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. I promise that I will be back online at some point to post pictures.

Until then, Tah-Tah for now! :)

MCS Family Night!

Last night we headed to the 'big city' to see a baseball game. The school event was put together by our PTG group and although it was a bit hectic, it did end up being a lot of fun. The kids got to parade around the field before the game...they got to sing The National Anthem...and then they got to eat a ton of junk food. What else could be better??!!!??

PQ was curious about THE TRASH MONSTER!

LOOK WHO PQ FOUND!!!!

Aaaaawww....they make my heart melt!

Still holding on...

As you can see, there were a lot of families walking.

I always imagined about the view from center field...

Miss Independent cracks me up!!!!

PQ's little buddy from his class got to throw out the first pitch!

Where's PQ??
(Hint: Look for the yellow arrow)

Grammy & Grampa have ALWAYS loved watching baseball games!

I can't guarantee that this group like baseball but they do love PQ!

Did someone say SEA DOG BISCUIT!!???

Miss Independent got bundled up before we left.
(I LOOOOOVE THIS PICTURE!!)

One last picture before we head home.

The evening was a lot of fun and it was great seeing the kids singing out on the field. Although a few tears were shed (by PQ leaving his Mama to head out on the field), he quickly returned with a HUGE smile on his face! I am so proud of PQ and I'm thrilled that he's taking steps towards becoming a very independent boy. It's hard to believe that the first year of school is almost over. Time flies, doesn't it??

Surprise, Mama Sunshine!!!!

On Saturday evening, we (Glory, Country Mouse, Titi, and our families) surprised Mama Sunshine with a Baby Shower. Mama Sunshine is due to deliver her baby on May 22nd so we were a little nervous when the Sunshine family were late for their arrival. *WINK*

SURPRISE!!!!!

Mama Sunshine was shocked, to say the least.

Papa Sunshine and Izzy Sunshine were surprised too!

Did someone say DINNER IS SERVED???

Hi, Baby Sunshine!!!!

Is it me or does Glory look terrified??!!!??

I don't recall the conversation, does anyone know why TWO was so funny?

Opening presents with her Mama!

What fun is a party without a bonfire??!!??

A woman and her pop gun.
(Did I mention that she keeps it on a rack in the back of her truck?)

Kids, kids, kids....and a baby on the way!

Whoa, Princess E...what's going on with you???

Glory's husband went looking for the kickball...for about 15 minutes!
NO LUCK!!

Aaaaawww....I can't wait to meet our new little friend!!!!

There is NEVER a dull moment with Tony!
(Isn't it 45 degrees outside, Tony?)

Tony was snuggled up while the other two were up to no good.

Caught in the act...(I usually have to sneak up on PQ)

It's hard to believe that 8 months ago, we were finding out that Mama Sunshine was expecting! Time flies, doesn't it? I'm sure she doesn't think so...haahaha...but you know what I mean. As new babies come into our lives, we are gently reminded of the many blessings that God bestows on all of us. Sometimes babies come when we least expect it....and sometimes it feels like forever while we're waiting. To all the mothers in the world, I tip my hat off to each of you. You have an amazing role in this life and there are little eyes that always look up to you. Little hands to hold...little toes to tickle. Aaaaahhh...the sweet smell of a baby.
IS IT MAY 22ND YET?? I can't wait to meet you, Baby Sunshine!!!!
