Funniest School Moment of the Week!
After a very long week and a half, THIS completely made my week! PQ is hilarious...and whenever I get in a place where I don't think life is as funny as it really is, he reminds me...Thanks for the laugh, PQ!

Scholastic & Duck Egg Spend The Night!
On Thursday night we had the honor and privilege of watching Twirly & Off-Roader's two boys. The house was overflowing with everything boy. I felt a little out-numbered. Okay, I'll admit it. I felt A LOT out-numbered! *wink*
The boys had some time to play before going to bed. When it came time for bed, the three boys decided that they couldn't be separated for the night. Although there was an entire bed right next to the air mattress, the three boys decided to squish onto one bed and 'make it work'. So, they all snuggled up on the queen sized air mattress and fell asleep. (Or so we thought...hahaha...)
On Friday night, we had a cookout at our house so that Off Roader could pick up all of his children at once. (The Sunshine family watched Chuckles & Swiper while we watched Scholastic & Duck Egg.)Twirly was heading back into town from a women's retreat so Off Roader came to the house and we were able to enjoy some time with him before he took all his children back to see their Mama.

At this point, we had no idea that 4am would come so quickly.
(Yes, you read that right...they woke up at 4am! Uuuh!)
By 9am, we were at the beach!
(I think the sun was in their eyes, what do you think??!!??)
The boys thought that being barefoot in the tide pools was a good idea...
...until they felt how cold the water was!
YIKES! We are not in Miami, boys!
Sugar did not seem impressed.
Just think...we've been up for over 5 hours already!
YIKES!!!!
The boys opted for a movie while I made them lunch.
(Nobody wanted to admit that they were tired...but I could tell.)

What an amazing bunch of children!
As always, we have an OPEN DOOR POLICY at our house. Anytime the kids want to come and sleep over for a night, please give us a call. Whether it's 1 child, 3 children, or 8 all at once. There doesn't have to be a special reason. Nope. Not at all. Just give us a call. Having 8 kids in the house at one time is definitely chaotic...but at the same time, it is SUCH A BLESSING. Thanks again to both families for allowing us the opportunity to spend some time with each of your amazing children.

Passover, Easter, and Planetarium
It's been a VERY BUSY couple of days, to say the least. Since Friday, we have participated in a traditional Passover Meal. We have celebrated Papa H's 38th birthday by making burgers on the grill- per his request. We have celebrated Easter. And on Tuesday, we visited the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Zone for a school field trip. Our days have been filled with opportunities to learn and celebrate an amazing time of year. Please grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy the plethera of pictures to follow...
Mama H & Miss J were prepping some of the food for the Passover Meal.
Lana-Bana thought her cup was the most entertaining 'toy' in the house.
Washing her hands before the meal...
...And then drying her Daddy's hands.
The Passover Dinner tradition is for everyone to wash their hands by dipping them in the soapy bowl of water and then having their hands dried off by the person next to them.
Matzah!
Seriously...what celebration is complete without dancing? *wink*
(Izzy Sunshine and PQ played the piano and requested that everyone start dancing...)
Miss J's expression is PRICELESS. I think she's wondering how she got linked up with a bunch of crazy folks! *wink*
Did someone say CRAZY??!!??
CRAZY HAIR, anyone?
Seriously...how cute is Miss Sugar??!!??
She's simply adorable!
After a short dancing break, we sat back down to finish up the Passover Meal.
We raised our glasses of grape juice in rememberance of what Jesus did for all of us.
(All of us...Did you catch that? All of us. Regardless of where are in life...regardless of where we've been in life...ALL OF US! Jesus died for ALL OF US. It's that simple. We can all have eternal life with Him, just by accepting His gift. Where do you stand? Have you accepting His gift? If not, what are you waiting for?)
I think Miss J is having fun...what do you think?
On Saturday, we celebrated Papa H's birthday by inviting Uncle over for cheeseburgers on the grill. Papa H LOVES burgers and he requested them for his birthday dinner. Considering our Passover Meal on Friday night, we had to celebrate his birthday on Saturday evening. It's all good though. Papa H had a great time.
Miss Sugar LOVES her Uncle, that's for sure!
On Sunday, we woke up and watched PQ find hidden Easter Eggs throughout the house. His favorite egg was the one that was holding a customized cross necklace that he had been wanting. He had no idea that we had ordered it for him, so he was THRILLED when he opened up the egg and found his necklace waiting for him!
Happy Easter, Little Sister!
Easter Madness...hahaha!
Happy Easter, Big Brother!
Happy Easter, Everyone!
The kids were snugglin' up at Nana's house.
On Tuesday, we went on a field trip to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Zone with the Sunshine girls. We had a great time! Take a look for yourself...
Are they stargazers or celebreties?
(I think they might be both!)
Or future pilots of America?
(Papa Sunshine might have some insight on this one. *wink*)
Perhaps a future in meteorology is better suited??!!??
Sugar didn't care where we were...she was a happy girl regardless!
Class Time...learning about rocks and minerals.
Beaner, is that you??!!??
(For those of you who know the history behind Beaner and PQ, this picture looks WAY TOO familiar!!! *wink*)
I hope they're not trying to go anywhere in that plane!
Ending the day with some dancing...
...and then they all fall down!

Say What??!!??
PQ was running wild around the house last night. When we asked him to please take a deep breath and calm down, he said:
"But this is important. I'm trying to unlock my true potential."
Papa H and I just smiled and shook our heads. Seriously, what can you say to that??!!?? Hilarious!

Just one of those days...
It might look a little silly, but I recently went to a workshop that told us about some research that supports the idea that army crawling can help kids to FOCUS. Thanks to Heather O, I was reminded of the materials so I thought we would give it a whirl with PQ. After the morning that we had, I thought it was worth a shot today. I have to admit that it didn't really work as well as I had hoped but it was a great way to break up the day. The comic relief that came from it was priceless....hahaha!
Give it a try...and let me know how YOU make out with it! *wink*
