Gone while the floors are refinished.

Please don't go anywhere for too long. I promise we will be back online by Monday at the very latest! We are having our floors refinished (YAY) and we are going to be disconnecting our computer until the work is done.

Please check back over the weekend because as soon as we can get back online, we will DEFINITELY post before and after pictures!

Tah-Tah for now! Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Talk to you soon!

PQ Day/Weekend At The Farm

The first annual PQ Day went over quite well. As you know, we headed out of town for the weekend. PQ wanted to go to Grampa's 'farm' for the weekend so we left on Friday. The weekend was a blast. But in all honesty, how could it not be a blast??? There is every kind of redneck thing to do out there in the woods and PQ did them all. I really wish we lived closer to them, that's for sure. Even though it was technically PQ's weekend, we got to reep the benefits as well.

PQ was ready to go out of town!

Papa H PASSED OUT on the way down.

A lovely painting on a construction project.
*This was a big hit, by the way!*

So much for your personal space, Grampa...

...because PQ can never get enough of you!

Apparently Mooch found the frog pond...

...and met up with a furry friend.

The boys were out fishing.

***Please excuse the interuption. Just a few things in the local town that made me chuckle...and wonder WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!!???***
Impatient...or...Overachiever???

Seriously????!!!????

***We now return to the regularly scheduled blog...*

Aaaah, yes...more redneck fun!

Look...It's Sophie in her Frog Pond!

Apparently it's what ALL the dogs do at the farm!

I love this woman!

Almost 90 degrees and he INSISTS on wearing this all day!

Taking Dad for a stroll around the yard.

Make Your Own Slip-N-Slide!

Uh-oh...he's up to something!

SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!

*WINK*

Yes, Bob...I'll throw another rock!

PQ was a Frog Catching Machine!

WHOA...that frog is HUGE!

Mooch obsessed over Black Kitty...
ALL WEEKEND LONG!

Sorry, Titi...this batch was for us!

Tired, Mooch?
Did I mention that he doesn't sleep while we are here?
He looks for black kitty ALL.THE.TIME!

Another round.

Bug Splatter, Anyone?
Mr. Jones is Grampa's neighbor.

He owns thousands of acres...

...and there isn't a spot without a view.

Of course Mooch had to ruin it while we were gone.

Did I mention homemade strawberry rhubarb pie?
Mooch flipped it onto the ground while we were gone.
SO NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!

Look what happened during a wrestling match with Dad!

A true battle of wits.

Come on black kitty. He just wants to be your friend.

A little too close for comfort.

Mooch continues to stalk the poor cat.

I don't think Grampa ever expected to get a boy like PQ!

He's exactly what he had hoped for!

Isn't it funny how we all have visions of how things are going to go? I never expected to have a little boy that loved being in the woods as much as PQ does. He loves nature and he loves everything that it has to offer. He loves to discover how things work and he marvels at the idea of eating what you catch. (Papa H found PQ looking in a cookbook over the weekend for a 'tadpole stew recipe'. Apparently, he wanted to catch some to eat for dinner. YUCK!)
Happy PQ Day, Everyone! I hope you all find a special day during the year to call your own.

I hate cilantro!

Today was our first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) pick up day! We are splitting the farm share with the NBL Family. After picking up todays crops, I quickly remembered how much I HATE CILANTRO!!!! I think it tastes like soap...and the smell gives me a headache almost immediately! Papa H likes cilantro so I kept a few pieces for him. Just the thought of having it in the house is making me sick. I'll say it again...I HATE CILANTRO!

Getting ready for June 26th.

A few months ago, we were posed with a very serious question...

With all of the hype surrounding Mother's Day and Father's Day (and every other holiday), PQ wanted to know when it was "PQ's Day". After a humorous answer of "everyday is PQ's day", we quickly realized that our little guy wanted a more substantial day to call his own. A few weeks after his initial question, he had given it some thought and decided that June 26th was going to be PQ DAY!

So, mark your calendars....his big day is approaching. *WINK*

In honor of his day, the only thing that he requested was a trip to his favorite place in the world. Where is this favorite place, you ask? At Grampa H and Grammy Jo-Jo's house, of course!

Today's question: What day of the year would you choose for your holiday? And how would you celebrate your big day?

Brandon Heath concert for Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, Papa H!

After becoming a father six years ago, who would have thought that your father's day weekend would be so busy!!??? I hope you had a nice weekend. You certainly deserve it!

On Saturday afternoon, we headed to the beach for some junk food. Later that evening, we went to the Brandon Heath concert at the Pavillion. We had never been to this venue and it was AWESOME. I felt like Brandon was performing for us...and for us alone. I have a video (he didn't seem to care that people were taking footage) but it was taking too long to upload. So for now, you can't see the live video on our blog. If you do want to see the live footage, please let me know. I would be more than happy to show you in person.

The kids got to play some games...

...they got TONS of tickets...

...Beaner had pier fries for the first time...

...they ate pizza for dinner...

...and then they had a FRIED OREO for dessert!

They LOVED it!!!!

Little feet dangling...adorable!

GA was the first person we saw at the concert!

We took a trolley ride to get to the venue.

We counted our blessings.

Wild and crazy...wild and crazy!

Give it up for BRANDON HEATH!!!!

Papa H and Beaner were dancing.

PS...If you're not familiar with Brandon Heath

This song is one of our favorite songs.

Things would be so different if we saw things like God does, wouldn't it?

The entire day was awesome. I'm glad that we could spend some time with the kids while also enjoying a concert. We would DEFINITELY go see him again.

Happy Father's Day, Papa H!

We Love You!

XOXOXO
