You know the scene. The scene were a woman in distress yells for someone to save her and then hopefully waits for that moment when the world is reclaimed. That was me a few weeks ago. While making a batch of pizza dough with my Kitchen Aid (aka: my "appliance BFF"), I accidentally stripped the gears and it stopped working. Right in the middle of making dough to bring to Twirly's house for dinner, my "appliance BFF" broke!
My first reaction was to panic. Afterall, my "appliance BFF" has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. My next reaction was to scream for help, like any woman in distress would do. And then without hesitation, my husband arrived on the scene. He was concerned that I might have stripped the gears and I could tell that he was already thinking ahead to Christmas. He could see the distress in my eyes and he always attempts to rescue me when that look is upon me. (Afterall, that's why he is my superhero. *wink)
Within minutes of possibly stripping the gears on the mixer, Papa H started researching whether this could be fixed. He found a website online where other superhero husbands were attempting to save their wives from the distress of ruining their "appliance BFF's". Sigh...my hero rocks...how dreamy.
Papa H ordered a small gear from some random website (I think it was called superherohusbands.com- *wink*) for approximately $15 and hoped that it would work. The small package arrived over the weekend but he was not able to disect the project until last night. But that was fine by me because I was still feeling warm and fuzzy from my superhero husband's desire to save the day.
Within a half hour of trying to fix my "appliance BFF", it worked. It literally worked! My superhero husband had saved the day! (Can I get a WOOT, WOOT, please?!!?) My superhero husband not only saved my day, but as you can see by the photo below, he showed PQ the importance of being his future wife's superhero too. Seriously, can I get a WOOT, WOOT??!!??
My Superhero Husband ROCKS!
Thanks again, sweetie!
